Home control via WhatsApp and Telegram
The user sends a normal WhatsApp or Telegram message such as “turn on the entrance light” or “what's the living room temperature?”, and the house carries it out and replies — no special app and no new interface for the family to learn.
The problem
Every smart device needs its own app, ending in ten apps that only the person who installed them uses. Meanwhile, many family members only use WhatsApp, so any solution that doesn't work through it is abandoned before long.
How it works
- The messageThe user sends a normal message from the messaging app.
- UnderstandingThe message is converted into a specific command (device and action), or a question about a reading.
- ExecutionThe command is sent to the controller, which switches the relay or reads the sensor.
- ReplyThe result is returned as a message in the same conversation.

Expected challenges
These are the main obstacles to expect during the build, laid out clearly so you know them before you start.
- Official WhatsApp integration requires a business account and approval, while Telegram is much easier for the first stage.
- Anyone who gets access to the conversation can control the house, so permissions are a necessity, not an extra.
- Ambiguous messages can turn into wrong commands, so confirmation is needed before sensitive commands run.
- Relying on an external service means an internet outage stops the control.
