What we collect

Student account: Name, email, university, student number, major and study year. Optionally: phone number, date of birth, address, profile photo, bio, skills and interests.
Visitor account: Name and email only.
Parts orders: Name, mobile number, city, address, notes, the parts you chose, and your email if you wrote it.
Content you post: Experiences, photos, posts and replies in the communities.
Technical data: A log of sign-in attempts (to protect your account from guessing), and a session cookie for the session and cart.

Why we use it

Running your account and cart, and preparing and delivering your order.
Verifying that you're a student at your university (student number and university email) so you can join its community.
Calculating your points and referral rewards.
Contacting you about your order or consultation.
Protecting the platform from spam and manipulation.

We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for ads.

What people see

Shown: your display name, university, major, bio, points, and your approved experiences and posts. In student discovery only what you choose is shown, and you can hide yourself completely from settings.
Your student number, date of birth, phone number and address aren't shown to anyone, unless you allow them to appear on your profile.
Your email is never shown.

Who we share with

WhatsApp: When you confirm an order or request a consultation, a WhatsApp chat opens with the order details, and it's subject to WhatsApp's policy.
Delivery: We give the delivery company only your name, number and address.
Hosting provider: Data is stored on our hosting provider's servers.
Other than that, we don't give your data to anyone unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Account data: as long as your account exists.
Orders: as long as we need them for accounting and warranty.
Backups: deleted automatically after 14 days.

Your rights

You can view and edit all your data, and choose what appears on your profile, from the settings page.
You can request a copy of your data, or deletion of your account and all your content, by contacting us.

Security

Passwords are stored encrypted, the whole site is on a secure connection (HTTPS), and repeated sign-in attempts are blocked automatically. Still, no system is 100% secure, so choose a strong password and don't use it anywhere else.

Changes

If we change this policy in an important way, we'll post a notice on the platform before the change takes effect.
